Total logo


Total is a French multinational oil and gas company, and one of the “Big Six” oil companies in the world.

The original company was founded on 1924, as the Compagnie française des pétroles (CFP).

‘Total’ was a brand of gasoline in the African continent and Europe introduced by CFP in 1954, the company name was changed to Total in 1991 when it became a public company.
