Established in 1953, Eni is an Italian multinational oil and gas company. The name “ENI” was initially the acronym of “Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi” (national hydrocarbons authority).
The Eni logo is a six-legged dog, which has been chosen in 1952 as an imaginary animal symbolizing the sum of a car’s four wheels and the two legs of its driver.
