
Wilson is a sporting goods company based in Chicago American and a foreign subsidiary of the Finnish group Amer Sports Since 1989.
Thomas E. Wilson renamed the company to Thomas E. Wilson Company In 1915 from Ashland Manufacturing Company.
The company was founded 1913 by Sulzberger and use animal by-products from its slaughterhouses to making tennis racket strings, violin strings, and surgical sutures but soon expanded into baseball shoes and tennis racquets.
