
Formed in 2001 from the merger of the two largest cooperatives, Fonterra is a New Zealand multinational dairy co-operative owned by 10,600 New Zealand farmers, is now the New Zealand’s largest company.
The name Fonterra comes from Latin fons de terre, meaning “spring from the land”.
