
British Airways is the flag carrier airline of the United Kingdomm, in 1974, four British airline companies were merged to form British Airways.
British Airways merged with Iberia on 2011, formally creating the International Airlines Group (IAG), the world’s third-largest airline group and the second-largest in Europe.

The British Airways logo was designed by Newell & Sorrell in 1997. The Interbrand Group, a corporate-identity consultancy that is owned by Omnicom Group, has acquired Newell & Sorrell.
British Airways uses its proprietary typefaces Mylius Sans and Mylius Serif, both designed by Rodney Mylius at Newell & Sorrell.
