
Brasil Telecom was a major Brazilian telecommunications company, and now is a subsidiary of Oi.
The original company name was called Tele Centro Sul, because its service covered the states in the central and southern parts of Brasil. Brasil Telecom was acquired by Oi on 2009 from Citigroup and the Brazilian pension funds.
